Terms of Service

01Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of dstokesncstudio.com and its account platform — auth.dstokesncstudio.com, id.dstokesncstudio.com, and api.dstokesncstudio.com (together, the "Service"), operated by dstokesncstudio ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

02The Service

dstokesncstudio provides a shared sign-in and account system used by games we build: one account, one identity, carried between games. The Service includes registration and sign-in, an account management portal, and a protected API that authorized games use to read and write your game-specific save data.

03Your account

• You must provide a valid email address and keep your account information accurate.
• You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• One person, one account — don't create an account on someone else's behalf without their permission, or share your login credentials with others.
• You can delete your account at any time from your account portal; see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do.

04Connected games & your data

• When you authorize a game to connect to your account, you're granting it specific permissions ("scopes") — e.g. viewing your basic profile, or reading/writing that game's own save data for you. A connected game only gets what you explicitly approved.
• You can review every connected game and revoke access at any time from your account portal; revoking access also invalidates that game's existing access to your account.
• Each game's save data is its own — one game can never see or modify another game's data for the same account.
• We don't inspect, moderate, or take responsibility for the content of what a connected game stores as your save data.

05SMS security alert program

If you choose to add a phone number and enable SMS alerts, you agree to the following program-specific terms, which also form part of your consent to receive these messages:

• Program description: account-security text messages only — a one-time verification code when you add a number, and (once enabled) alerts for new sign-ins from an unrecognized device, password changes, account deletion, and games being connected or disconnected from your account. This is not a marketing or promotional messaging program.
• Message frequency varies and is driven entirely by your own account activity; there is no scheduled or recurring messaging.
• Message and data rates may apply, per your mobile carrier's plan.
• Opt-in is entirely optional. You can use the Service fully without ever adding a phone number or enabling SMS alerts — it never gates access to your account or to any connected game.
• How to opt out: reply STOP to any message at any time, or turn off "SMS alerts" in your account's notification settings.
• How to get help: reply HELP to any message, or email [email protected].
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers may change without notice.
• See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your phone number, including that we never share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

06Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data that isn't yours.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including through excessive automated requests.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, abuse, or harm others.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to circumvent the Service's security or access controls.
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person or account.

07Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, or if we reasonably believe your account poses a security risk to you, other users, or the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

08Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. dstokesncstudio is a small, independently operated project — to the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of game save data. Keep your own backups of anything that matters to you where a connected game supports it.

09Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
